Whether you're a new player or a veteran, everyone is starting from scratch in ARK Survival Ascended's new The Center map. It will take some time to get familiar with the new map locations, especially knowing where all the resources are located around The Center.
Fortunately, you won't have to go through this process the hard way by discovering everything on your own, as this guide has you covered. Below, we'll provide a detailed resource map breakdown for ARK Survival Ascended's The Center, including all the crucial materials you'll need for your survival journey.
ARK Survival Ascended The Center Resource Map
The Center map is rich in resources, with veins scattered across various locations, including the vast oceans. The oceans are some of the best places to farm resources. So, equip yourself with a good water tame alongside your land tames, and use the breakdown of the locations below, as provided on the official ARK Survival Ascended Center interactive map, to gather all the resources you need:
Metal and Metal-Rich Deposits
Metal and metal-rich deposits are found all across the map, with concentrations around The Center and the snowy grasslands on the western side. To mine for metal, you'll need a pickaxe or a tame like the Ankylosaurus.
Crystal Deposits
Crystal deposits are located in the same areas as metal deposits and are also common on Lava Island to the north. They can be mined using the same methods as metal.
Obsidian Deposits
Obsidian is more sparsely found on The Center but is abundant on Lava Island in the north. It can also be found at the bottom of the ocean biome on the eastern side of the map if you're using a water tame.
Oil Deposits
Oil deposits are mostly found in the deep ocean areas, especially along the eastern and southern oceans. While any water tame can farm oil, the Dunkleosteus is the best for harvesting large amounts quickly.
Rock Deposits
Rock can be mined almost anywhere on dry land and can be easily gathered using a land tame, with the Ankylosaurus being the best due to its tail ability.
Silica Pearl Deposits
Similar to oil deposits, Silica Pearls are predominantly found on ocean floors but can also be found around smaller bodies of water on the map.
So there you have it - a comprehensive resource breakdown for ARK Survival Ascended's The Center map. Since many advanced resources are in the water, we suggest checking out our Dunkleosteus taming guide, as the Dunky is the most lucrative water tame for resource collection and will make your gathering efforts much easier.
