Deinosuchus Taming Process In ARK Survival Ascended
Before you can start looking for the Deinosuchus to tame, you'll first need to find one. Thankfully, this can be easily done as it lurks around the swamps and shallow water areas of The Center and The Island. For a more detailed look, check out our Deinosuchus spawn location guide, which will tell you exactly where to go.
Once you've found a Deinosuchus, there are a few things you need to note when taming it. First, this creature is very aggressive, so you'll need to sneak up on it to begin the taming process. Second, it is a passive tame, meaning you need to approach it quietly while it’s basking and feed it to start taming. Lastly, you need to be level 70 to tame this creature, so ensure you're properly leveled beforehand.
To begin, we suggest getting a Ghillie suit to mask your presence from the beast once you encounter it in the wild. Stay near it and wait for the Deinosuchus to stop moving and open its mouth to begin the passive-taming process. When its mouth is open, slowly approach it with either Kibble (superior is best), Raw Mutton, or Raw Meat in your hot bar.
When you're close enough, you'll get a prompt to feed it. After feeding, back away immediately as the Deino will notice you and attack if you're still nearby. This process will start building up its taming bar. Repeat this process: wait for it to open its mouth, feed it, and then retreat until it is eventually tamed.
