Where to Find Doedicurus in ARK Survival Ascended

You can find Doedicurus in the grasslands, forests, and mountains of The Island map, where it can find plenty of plants to eat. It is a docile herbivore that will not attack unless provoked, so you can approach it safely; however, be careful of other predators that may be lurking nearby, such as raptors, wolves, or rexes. You may also encounter other players who may want to tame or kill the Doedicurus, so be prepared to defend yourself and your target.

How to Tame Doedicurus in ARK Survival Ascended

To tame a Doedicurus, you will need to knock it out with tranquilizers or other methods, and then feed it regular kibble, crops, or berries. You can use a crossbow, a longneck rifle, or a compound bow to shoot tranquilizer arrows or darts at it. However, be careful not to hit its shell, as it will reduce the torpor effect.

You can also use a bola to immobilize the Doedicurus before shooting it. Once the Doedicurus is unconscious, you can access its inventory and put the food in it. The Doedicurus will eat the food and its taming bar will increase. Once the taming bar is full, you can use a saddle to ride it.
