As players dive into Road to the Show, the first landing spot isn't always the place you wanna finish a Hall of Fame worthy career. If you're not happy with your current team in RTTS, players just need to wait for their agent to call and answer "I just wish I was with another organization" after saying things aren't going well.

Unfortunately, the bad news is that this isn't always going to work. Especially early on in your Road to the Show journey if you're still in the minors and haven't gotten called up yet, asking to be with a different organization is almost exclusively going to have the agent explain you don't have leverage and need to make the best out of your current situation.

You usually need to be performing well on a regular basis, potentially even outperforming the rest of your team, before a trade request is likely to move forward. For players who aren't close to that level yet, it's probably better to start a new RTTS save since MLB The Show 24 still lets you choose the team that drafts your ballplayer. Make sure you choose a squad you want to be with long-term and that the team has minor league affiliates you'll actually enjoy playing for.
