As you roam across the overworld in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you'll find fishing spots. But, you won't be able to interact with any of them until you get your hands on a fishing rod.

While you might stumble upon your first fishing spot in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes early on in the game, you won't be able to use it until a while later. In fact, you can only get your first fishing rob once you've entered Hishahn in Euchrisse. You'll naturally get to this location by following the main story.

Once you've made it to Hishahn, you'll need to find a potential ally called Huang. He'll be by the river in the city, and carrying a fishing rod. Talk to him and say you love to fish. Huang will then give you a Bamboo Rod. You'll also be able to recruit Huang to your cause, but only once you first catch him a wheel-eye bream.

With the Bamboo Rod, you can now fish at specific spots in the overword. Each spot has it's own type of fish that can be caught, some of which are used as ingredients in recipes.

In Hishahn, there are a number of other useful allies you'll want to recruit, such as Kurtz the chef. He'll be standing a little to the left of Huang in an obvious chef outfit. To recruit Kurtz, however, you'll need to find him the Grilled Tutuva recipe
