Tickets for the opening day of Overwatch League are officially sold out. The season, which begins proper on January 10 – after pre-season games were played out in December to iron out any creases in the format – will kick off with a clash between San Francisco Shock and Los Angeles Valiant.

We receive this news via a tweet from the official Overwatch League account, which was met with considerable excitement by the scene’s dedicated fans.

Of course, with the venue’s capacity only being 450, and the tickets generously priced at $20 apiece, this news hardly comes as a surprise.

Still though, the news only adds to the growing hype surrounding Overwatch League. After over a year of planning, during which many setbacks cast doubt on whether the league would ever actually materialise, its imminent launch is a hugely exciting prospect. With the premiere fast approaching, all eyes are on Blizzard to deliver.
