WWE 2K25 Reveal Dates Confirmed for Before the Royal Rumble

As the Royal Rumble approaches, that also means it's almost time for WWE 2K25 announcements to start rolling in. Since switching to a spring release window for WWE 2K22, it's become an annual tradition to see both events line up. While we still don't know the WWE 2K25 release date, two days coming up are guaranteed to bring important reveals.

WWE 2K25 Cover Reveal Expected at Raw before Royal Rumble

When WWE Raw made its debut on Netflix, there were sure to be some big surprises. Normally, WWE 2K news doesn't start rolling in until a bit later in January. However, one backstage moment with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman started the hype engine early.

After defeating Solo Sikoa and having the Ula Fala placed around his neck by The Rock, Roman Reigns was shown walking backstage as Paul Heyman asked when they could have a platform to really showcase The Tribal Chief. Roman Reigns simply stated "January 27," and walked through a door that closed to reveal the WWE 2K25 logo on it.

That night will be the WWE Raw on Netflix that airs just before the Royal Rumble on Saturday, February 1, 2025. They don't usually do full press releases with all game details in the evening, but it sounds like a WWE 2K25 cover potentially featuring Roman Reigns is on the docket for January 27.

WWE 2K25 Release Date & New Features Reveal Confirmed

Separate of the January 27th announcement, 2K sent out an email confirming WWE 2K25 and teasing more news would arrive on January 28. The timing makes sense, as they'll likely want to capitalize on the buzz created by a cover reveal during WWE Raw.

The official WWE 2K website now sports the WWE 2K25 logo and says the following:

ANNOUNCEMENT INCOMING—WWE 2K returns bigger, bolder, and better than ever in a breakthrough year for the franchise! WWE 2K25 is preparing to charge down the ramp with all the authenticity and action fans love from the best in sports entertainment.

While this announcement for an announcement stopped short of mentioning many details, we already know the specifics of what will likely be confirmed on January 28. Initial reveals like this tend to confirm the release date, and they almost always line up with pre-orders going live across all platforms via the digital store and on other resale sites.

That day should also bring details about all the WWE 2K25 editions, and they may save the cover reveal for this year's Deluxe Edition for January 28. Deep dives ahead of launch will likely be home to the more intricate details of new features, but the initial announcement is likely to tease some of what's coming to each of the game's core game modes. Official news is less than three weeks away as WWE 2K25 continues to roll towards a likely March release date.
