How do you go about updating an annual release like Call of Duty? Through various content drops, adjustments and mechanics. In Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, fans have even more content to get stuck into, like new challenges.

The different challenges in the game will allow you to get a variety of cosmetic upgrades, but the problem is that completing these challenges can be difficult if you are doing them by yourself. That's why there's a new Friend Recommender introduced to both games as of Season 5 Reloaded. Here, we are going to tell you all about the Friend Recommender in Warzone and Modern Warfare 2.

What Is The Friend Recommender In Modern Warfare 2 And Warzone

In the Season 5 Reloaded update for Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, Activision went into detail about all the new features that were introduced. Two of them are social updates to make it easier to play with a squad rather than play alone. The Friend Recommender allows you to squad up with players who have similar playstyles as you.

Let us say for example that you are an avid DMZ player in the afternoon. The Friend Recommender will suggest playing with others who play in the same game mode and at the same time as you. The recommender will also suggest you play with others who are in the same social group as you and maybe even at the same skill level as you.

How To Use The Friend Recommender In Modern Warfare 2 And Warzone

One thing that is important to note is that the Friend Recommender is an in-game feature. You will need to turn it on in the menu for it to work for you if you want to get into squad modes with new players. From what we can see, the Friend Recommender works best when you have a lot of playtime or a lot of friends.

The Friend Recommender takes into account your playtime in different game modes and who you have teamed up with in the past. If you are a brand-new player, you might want to play a couple of matches in your favorite game mode first. That way, the Friend Recommender can suggest players who want to play the same game mode as you.
