If you're a fan of Total War series, you don't need a special introduction for the Shogun 2. Released in March 2011, it was one of the best Total War games in the past decade and generally one of the most beloved Total War games ever.
When it came out, critics and players loved it for its "back to the roots of the series" moment, and because Shogun generally had a special place in the hearts of fans, since it was the first game in the Total War franchise, released in June 2000.
Shogun 2 is set in the 16th-century feudal Japan, in the aftermath of the Onin War. Japan is shattered in smaller territories, controlled by local Warlords and their clans. You as a player are one of them, and your goal is to fight to become a Shogun, by controlling all of Japan.
Shogun 2 cult classic status was reinforced in the coming years, since Rome 2 and Attila, Total War games that came after, were considered "fails" amongst the fans.
Why are we talking about Shogun 2 now? Well, as the title says, the game will be free to claim and keep from 27 April to 1 May! This can be seen on steamdb.info portal, where "Total War: SHOGUN 2 Limited Free Promotional Package" was discovered, and it says that game will be offered for free in that period.
So that's it, mark your calendars and be ready to claim this strategy masterpiece!
