Since its global release in September 2024, Tiny Glade has garnered "overwhelmingly positive" reviews for its sandbox approach to gameplay with no narrative or stories to follow and complete and no major risks at play. This "diorama builder" allows players to construct beautiful homes and decorate them with a vast array of structures and decor items with exceptional detail, as it gained plenty of attraction on social media.

The game was released with plenty of unique gameplay content, features, and optimizations as it continues receiving post-launch support; however, one missing feature is full native Steam Deck support. While the developer has clearly explained that the game isn't fully supporting the Steam Deck, they've provided an update on this development in a new developer post.

This was posted to the game's Steam News page, where they've provided an update on its development progress on making Tiny Glade Steam Deck compatible. As of writing, the cozy sandbox "diorama builder" can run on the handheld gaming system via Proton GE, but full native support has yet to be made available, which the developer is currently working on.

The official statement states they're working hard to provide updates on bringing controller and Steam Deck support improvements for Tiny Glade. "A good chunk of this work will be general QoL improvements and fixes, so we've decided to break the work up into multiple smaller patches, and make them live as soon as they're ready in the coming weeks."

One such improvement to improve players' experience playing Tiny Glade on Steam deck is "an alternative mode for camera rotation and zoom." This new camera mode will significantly improve the game across its available platforms, especially on PC, where players have unceremoniously had their camera "yeeting itself" when rotating it to get the best and optimal perspectives while building.

The expected timeline for these patches to be released is unknown; however, work continues "until early February(ish)" before pivoting their focus to gameplay improvements. For now, players will be waiting awhile until full native support for the Steam Deck eventually arrives in Tiny Glade, for which we'll provide updates on its status as soon as it's announced.
