Slitterhead is set to release in just a few days on 8 November 2024, allowing players to finally dive into Bokeh Game Studio's long-awaited new action-adventure horror game. Just recently, the game's developers revealed some of its characters and their powers, along with some looks at the game's environments.
Behind the upcoming title is Keiichiro Toyama, creator of Silent Hill, and many fans are excited to see what this horror game veteran will bring to the table with this new title. So how long will it take you to experience Toyama's newest game? Here's about how long you can expect to take to beat Slitterhead.
How Long Does Slitterhead Take To Beat?
Slitterhead takes about 15 hours to beat, give or take, if you're looking to only complete the main story. Each stage lasts for 30 minutes. Keiichiro Toyama confirmed the game's length in an interview with IGN. He also noted, though, that there are still some challenges left after the credits roll.
So if you're looking to complete the full game along with all those challenges, you're likely looking at around 20 hours of playtime. Earning all of the achievements may tack on another five hours or so, for a total 100% completion playtime of 20-25 hours.
Overall, 20–25 hours seems like a pretty reasonable time for a horror game these days; survival horror games tend to be longer than they once were. Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 will take you around 16–20 hours for one playthrough, while the original only offered players around 8 hours of gameplay.
However, the time it takes you to complete Slitterhead may be a little longer if you die frequently or spend more time exploring. Or, you could potentially complete it faster if you speed through sections. Overall, though, you can expect to spend around 20 hours in the game. If the game offers high levels of replayability or different endings, it's possible that players could easily sink a few more hours into this one to see them all or run through everything again.
