Saints Row Ultimate Customization Showcase announced

After a brief hiatus, the developers behind the upcoming Saints Row reboot are back with more gameplay demonstrations of the game. Initially planned to release in the busy month of February alongside titles like Dying Light 2, Horizon Forbidden West, and Elden Ring, Saints Row got delayed by six months and will now release on 23rd August.

After the initial reveal and a couple of gameplay previews, developer Volition went awfully quiet on Saints Row, resulting in concerns from the veteran fans of the franchise. Fortunately, the studio has now announced a deep-down Saints Row customization showcase, which should make up for the recent lack of news and new gameplay especially as the game's release date draws near.

Saints Row Ultimate Customization Showcase

Announced via Saints Row's official Twitter account, the Saints Row Ultimate Customization Showcase will put the spotlight on the game's intricate customization options.

The showcase will premiere on Saints Row's official Youtube and Twitch channel on 20th April at 12 PM PT/ 8 PM BST, hosted by actress Mica Burton. Aside from a gameplay trailer, fans can also expect new details about the game via interviews and insider information.

Saints Row games have always featured whacky customization options that complement its overall themes and aesthetics. The new Saints Row reboot seems to delve deeper into the customization roots of its predecessors by giving players more freedom and the option to customize their characters, vehicles, and more.

According to Deep Silver, "Within the showcase itself, longtime fans and newcomers alike will be delighted to see a brand new trailer fully focused on customization across all aspects of player choice in the game, that will get gamers excited about all the incredible ways you can Be Your Own Boss in Saints Row – it will truly show off the breadth and depth of the customization features Volition have packed into the title.”

While we don't know yet exactly how deep the customization is in the new Saints Row, we do know that Volition has "built the biggest customization suite" of any Saints Row game ever. From layered clothing to customising various aspects of the vehicles, it seems players will have a lot of freedom to fine-tune their own Saints Row experience.
