Saints Row: The Third Remastered is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 22

After Friday's ESRB rating, now it's official - we're getting a remaster of the most successful Saints Row game.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 22

Is's been almost five full years since we last saw a Saints Row game. It was an expansion for Saints Row IV, called Gat out of Hell, which came out in January 2015. Last summer, publisher Deep Silver and developer Volition(creators of the series) confirmed that Saints Row 5 is in the works, but before that, we got a little surprise this spring.

Last Friday it was noticed that ESRB published ratings for the Saints Row: The Third Remastered, which all but confirmed that we are getting this remaster. And now came the official announcement along with the trailer - Saints Row: The Third is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 22!

This time work on the remaster wasn't done by the game's original developer, Volition. Instead, studio Sperasoft was in charge of the remastered edition, since Volition is working on the alleged fifth instalment in the series.

In the trailer below we can see the differences between original and this remaster, which mostly focus on better lighting, improved city textures and other effects. The game will also feature new weapon and car models, as well as some other new content.

For our wallets, the most important thing is that this remaster includes every single piece of expansion and DLC the original game had. Fans know that besides three big expansions, there were over 30 DLC packages for the game, which are now all included in this Remastered edition. PC version of the game will have unlimited FPS, while PS4/XboxOne version will still be locked to 30FPS, even on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

When it comes to PC version, the game will be timed Epic Store exclusive, which doesn't come as a surprise, since Deep Silver was amongst the first to get this kind of deal with Epic, last February with Metro Exodus exclusive deal.
