A creepy and nostalgic new horror point-and-click called Riddlewood Manor is coming to Steam, from the developers of Retropolis. Riddlewood Manor follows in the footsteps of old point-and-click Flash games, featuring detailed puzzles and escape room-style challenges as players uncover the story beneath. Oh, and beware - there are jump scares in store.
It all takes place in the titular Riddlewood Manor, a strange and unique building full of puzzles and secrets around every corner. The unsettling environment "blends horror and whimsy" - an experience, developers say, that provides "an experience nostalgic of amusement park rides and Saturday morning cartoons" while also delving into horror.
"With each step, you'll unveil the tragic tale of a family cloaked in mystery by piecing together their story through clues scattered throughout the manor," developers explain. "And don’t forget Suzie, Emily's demonic doll, who is sure to give you a fright when you least expect it."
"We are beyond thrilled to unveil Riddlewood Manor to the world," said Eyal Geva, co-founder of developers Peanut Button. "Developing this game has been an extraordinary journey, and we can't wait for players to explore the haunting and enchanting experience we've designed. We hope everyone enjoys uncovering the mysteries and puzzles of the manor as much as we enjoyed creating them."
To celebrate the game's announcement, its official Steam page is now available. For now, there's no word on when Riddlewood Manor might release.
