Upcoming ocean clean-up adventure Loddlenaut is set to further its cause by pledging donations to the Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) with every purchase of the game.
Loddlenaut, set to launch on November 16, 2023, tasks players will aiding the clean-up of numerous alien biomes after a mega-corporation left many pollutants in the ocean. Along the way, players will befriend and clean little sea creatures called Loddles, and help restore their natural habitats.
Developer Moon Lagoon and publisher Secret Mode have already undertaken a variety of charity work surrounding Loddlenaut, including Urban Beach Cleans, Climate Giant Project donations, and World Oceans Day Steam Sale participation. Now, with the launch of Loddlenaut on the horizon, every purchase of the title will result in a 0.05GBP donation to Whale and Dolphin Conservation.
In additional celebration of the launch, Secret Mode has also partnered with UK artist Michelle Costello, aka Smartie Lids on the Beach, for a special art project which recreates Loddlenaut's key art exclusively using reclaimed ocean plastics and materials.
The artwork will also be viewable to the public from February 2024, at a temporary art installation at WDC’s Scottish Dolphin Centre.
Loddlenaut will be available from November 16, 2023 on PC and Mac via Steam. A demo for the game is live now.
