The puzzle platformer LittleBigPlanet 3 and all DLC will be pulled from the PlayStation (PS) Store later this month. This is according to an official statement posted across the game's social media channels from its series creator, Media Molecule, who broke the gutwrenching news to the LBP community

Just recently, fans got to see the series protagonist, Sackboy, being honored in Team Asobi's Astro Bot game last month with an adorably cute bot that players could acquire. But despite its recent increased interest in popularity following Astro Bot's release, Sony will be sunsetting the game and its DLC, for which further information was provided on the game's purchase.

In an official statement from LBP's series creator, the base game, LittleBigPlanet 3, and its subsequent expansion will be "delisted" from the PS Store on 31st October 2024. As such, the studio alerted fans that this would be their "last chance" to acquire the game and the DLC from the aforementioned digital storefront before it's removed permanently.

"Anyone that currently owns or purchases LittleBigPlanet 3 or any LittleBigPlanet DLC before it is delisted for sale will still be able to access their purchased games and content after its removal," the statement reads. It continues with the studio adding, "This is a friendly heads-up that if anyone in the community or any newcomers still wish to own a digital copy of LittleBigPlanet 3 or any LittleBigPlanet DLC currently available for purchase – This is your last chance to do so!"

In April 2024, LBP servers were taken down for PlayStation 4, which, according to a statement from the PlayStation Support page, resulted from "ongoing technical issues" dating back to January 2024. As such, all online facilities were switched off, with offline features remaining "playable," All user-generated content (UGC) that's stored "locally" to consoles was still accessible; however, it cannot be shared with other players to access and experience.
