Nightdive Studios have released a teaser for their upcoming game to be announced at tomorrow's IGN Live, and it looks like it'll be a remaster or remake of The Thing. In a 5 June X/Twitter post, the studio asked fans to guess what game they'll announce, coupled with a hint in the form of an image that looks like part of The Thing's original cover.
The game would be a remake of Black Label Games' and Konami's 2002 The Thing, a PS2 title that's a sequel of the John Carpenter film of the same name. Carpenter himself had a cameo in the game, and it gained a cult following, receiving generally favorable reviews after its release.
The announcement comes just a few days after Nightdive announced that it'll also be remaking Killing Time in the form of the upcoming Killing Time: Resurrected. The studio is known for revitalizing and remaking old titles.
IGN Live will take place on Friday, 7 June, where fans can hear all of the newest information surrounding the possible The Thing remake. Based on the hints provided by Nightdive on X/Twitter, looks pretty likely that Nightdive Studios will announce a The Thing remaster at the event, but there's even more announcements in store.
