Dustborn's November content update is here, and it includes both new content and QoL improvements that developers say will "make your cross-country road trip aboard the Cougar Cruiser a smoother and more enjoyable ride."
The content update introduces a new Story Mode, which allows you to completely forego the combat in favour of just the story. Or, for those players who are looking for more of a challenge, there's also the new Hard Mode, which sends you back to the last checkpoint when you die.
If you choose to engage in combat in lieu of Story Mode, you'll also notice a few changes to how it works. Pax's bat now reacts to walls and obstacles, and will deal damage on its way to hit enemies. Blocking has also been improved, along with the addition of three new chain combos, allowing for new defensive and offensive strategies.
But that's not all. Players will now be able to skip dialogue, as well as identify which moments change crew codas with the new "Coda Moments." Plus, there's new lore scattered around in the form of environmental details and new arcade machines.
"We'll continue to make improvements, changes and additions based on your comments and input, so please let us know what you think," the team wrote.
The content update is available now, free to all who already own the game.
