Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a fully functional tabletop RPG but in the form of a looter shooter. While the game does inject a lot of the genre's native tropes to its looter-shooter formula, paying homage to iconic tabletop RPGs in general, there is a segment of the game that is unflinchingly a living breathing playable version of it.
This segment of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is called Overworld, a freely explorable space with unique side quests, loots, and hidden collectables, that you will come across in-between story missions. With that said, here is everything you need to know about Overworld in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
What is Overworld in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands?
The Overworld is Tina's tabletop RPG version of the Wonderlands. You will explore this space from a top-down third-person perspective while looking like a bobblehead. The Overworld serves as a junction between key story areas, and you will venture into it after every big story mission.
It's a welcome change of pace from the constant looting, stabbing, and shooting you do in first-person perspective, though you will still come across enemies that hide in tall grasses, who will then ambush you if you try to walk past them.

The Overworld also functions like a top-down JRPG, which will teleport you to a battle arena after engaging with an enemy. Eliminate all the enemies in here to return to the Overworld. These are called encounters, and they will frequently happen while exploring the Overworld.
Finishing these encounters will reward you with some of the best loot, at least in the game's early hours. Of course, you can also avoid these encounters by simply running away from your enemy or punching them before they reach you, but there's no fun.
The Overworld also hides plenty of hidden collectables like Lucky Dice that you will need to find to increase your overall loot luck. You will also come across NPCs in Overworld that will have quests for you.
Overall, Overworld seems like a breath of fresh air between the intense story missions. You will likely spend a lot of time exploring every nook and cranny for collectables and loot.
