It's been a week following the global launch of Massive Entertainment's galactic action-adventure Star Wars Outlaws, which saw players living out their epic Scoundrel adventures through its protagonist, Kay Vess. The game's timeline does find itself in rather good company; taking place between Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, it places the spotlight on the galaxy's criminal underworld, freeing itself from any ties to the Jedi or Sith.

While the events of Star Wars Outlaws have yet to be given its canonical status, something that neither the developer, its publisher, nor Lucasfilm themselves could elaborate on, its lead star Humberly González has provided some thoughts on what's next for Kay (and Nix of course). The actress recently sat down with entertainment publication Variety for an interview, expressing her interest in returning to play Kay Vess in Star Wars.

During her Variety interview, González explained that the game's timeline is undoubtedly a "dream" to explore for herself and the developer; she elaborated that at this period, "the crime syndicates are thriving" as "the underbelly of 'Star Wars' is rampant." For Kay Vess, who was not associated with any faction, syndicate, or organization, González continued, "She simply has a dream of getting rich and being free out there in the galaxy."

As for González, who not only provided the voice for Kay Vess but also the physical motion capture for the character, stated that Kay's in-game portrayals were "influenced" by her ideas on how she envisioned the character to be. Ultimately, she hopes that all the work she put into the character's portrayal could lead to her playing the character in a live-action Star Wars adaptation, revealing that "it would be a dream come true" as she would never "say no to the opportunity."

I think it would be incredible to see Kay Vess in live action because one thing that we don't see in animation is those micro-expressions of a real human being on screen. And it would be incredible for me to experience what it would be like to be literally in her costume, in her appearance, her likeness, in the landscape, to see her interact with real characters, the creatures.

González's dream of hoping to return as Kay Vess in a live-action Star Wars property is the same goal Star Wars Jedi star Cameron Monaghan (Cal Kestis) had previously echoed. "I think there's so many opportunities to see Kay Vess and other aspects of established roles in Star Wars, because we're in the original trilogy, and there's so many opportunities for her to exist or show up and in different places. So it would be amazing, and I think fans would love it," González concluded.
