The galaxy has its fair share of colorful characters that play a role in Kay Vess' journey, regardless of whether their impact is large or small. Some characters continue to stick around until reaching a specific checkpoint in the main story quest, and others need a good listener to hear their grips.
Unfortunately, the latter is a perfect example as it is the sole objective of an in-game Achievement, where Kay must find and listen to one of the galaxy's most unfortunate tales. This guide explains this tragic tale as we've detailed how to complete the Good Listener Achievement in Star Wars Outlaws.
How To Complete The Good Listener Achievement In Star Wars Outlaws?
The Good Listener Achievement is one of 50 in-game Achievements to unlock by meeting its requirements to earn associated rewards. This specific Achievement will require plenty of time and patience as Kay Vess will be tasked with listening "to the longest sob story in the galaxy."
Before attempting to complete this Achievement, remember that the game doesn't specify when the NPC will appear in-game during the main story questline. Some transmissions have stated that it may occur sometime after completing the False Flags and The Wreck quests, with one waiting until after completing all the quests before finding the NPC.
Either way, it requires players to have unlocked the planet Toshara, as the unfortunate NPC is found just outside of Mirogana City. To begin this unfortunate endeavor, Kay must locate the Daruda Diner at Jaunta's Hope west of Mirogana City and head inside the diner.
Wrap around the counter to the left side, where they can interact with an NPC to begin talking to them. The NPC will state that they have lost everything, and selecting the "Comfort" option lets them confide in Kay about what happened.
Not only does this NPC hate being on Toshara, but he's being pursued by the Pykes and watched by the Stormtroopers, causing him much distress. While he complained that he regretted departing Corellia for Toshara, they continued revealing that their partner-in-crime had snitched on him, so he took him out with his Blaster, and he couldn't leave as his ship plunged into a ravine.
The NPC will thank Kay for listening to his rather unfortunate demise; this fulfills the unlock conditions for the Good Listener Achievement. Players will receive a Bronze Trophy for mustering the patience to listen to this "sob story" and can earn the corresponding Gamerscore or XP for this Achievement in Star Wars Outlaws.
