There are three daily timed events in Sky: Children of the Light, and one of them is the Polluted Geyser. This geyser erupts a few times a day, granting players tons of Light each time it does. Here's where to find the Polluted Geyser in Sky: COTL, and what times it erupts so you can grab that extra Light.
Sky COTL: Polluted Geyser Location
The Polluted Geyser is found in the Sanctuary Islands. To get to the Sanctuary Islands, head from Daily Prairie off to the invisible gate on the side. Then, fly past the floating island and through the hole in the clouds.
To get to the geyser itself once you've arrived in Sanctuary Islands, players need to find the geyser between two caves. If you're having trouble figuring out where to go, check out this helpful video courtesy of nastymold:
Also nearby in the Sanctuary Islands is the Sunset Sanctuary Turtle event, which you may want to take advantage of if the times align and you're already in the area.
Sky COTL: Polluted Geyser Times
The Polluted Geyser erupts every day at 0:00 PST/PDT, or at reset time. Each eruption lasts for 15 minutes, then the event repeats every two hours. To determine when the Polluted Geyser will erupt next, you can take a look at the Sky Clock.
Sky COTL: How Does The Polluted Geyser Work?
When the geyser erupts, players can identify it by looking for a seashell floating up to unclog the geyser's blockage. This is the signal that the event is starting, but players still have a bit of time to prepare. For 5 minutes, there will be little activity, and players can't earn Light.
For the next 10 minutes, though, players can look for the Darkness balls coming out of it. To earn Light, players will need to burn that Darkness. There are varying sizes of these Darkness balls that offer differing amounts of light: small (5), medium (10), and large (15). Focus on burning the large ones when possible, but it's a good idea to burn as much Darkness as you can to rack up the Light and earn more Candles.
Players can earn up to 1,000 Pieces of Light from the Polluted Geyser. However, most won't be able to earn only a quarter to a third of that in just one eruption, so the Polluted Geyser is likely a location that you should plan on returning to later.
After earning Light from the Polluted Geyser, you might want to try out the game's other timed Light events, like Grandma's Dinner Table or the Turtle.
