Sky COTL: How To Favorite Emotes

In Sky: Children of the Light, Sky Kids can express themselves by using a variety of expressions and emotes. You'll likely use some emotes more often than others, so developers have added in a new Favorites Menu letting you pick certain emotes to use at the press of a button. Here's how to favorite expressions and emotes in Sky so you can easily access the ones you like the best.

How To Favorite Emotes & Expressions In Sky COTL

In Sky's 0.26.5 update, developers introduced the new Favorites Menu. There are several methods to access it, so you can get to your favorite emotes with ease. Those methods also depend on whether you're using PC or controller:

• Press and hold on the cape meter
• Press Z on your keyboard 
• Press the middle mouse button
• Pressing L2 on your controller

After pressing the button, you'll be able to access a wheel with eight available actions from your expression menu. You can mix-and-match these expressions to your liking, using the emotes you've earned from interacting with Spirits in your inventory.

Favoriting emotes not only makes it easier for players to interact with others using the emotes they'd like to use, but will also make it simpler for players to create dances and Shared Memories that involve quick, subsequent movements.

How To Unlock Favorites Menu in Sky COTL

While adding emotes to your Favorites Menu is easy, it's only unlocked once you get to a certain point in the game. Thankfully, that access point is pretty early on, and will only impact brand new players. To access the Favorites Menu, you'll need to first get to the Vault of Knowledge.

Once you've accessed the Vault of Knowledge, the next time you log in you'll see a star button in your expression menu. You can press this button to get an explanation of how to use the favorites menu - then, you'll be able to access it whenever you like.
