Silent Hill 2: How To Solve Lady of the Door Puzzle

After solving the Chained Box puzzle as James in Silent Hill 2's Otherworld Brookhaven Hospital, you'll come across the Lady of the Door puzzle. To solve it, you'll need to bring Maria along with you to find the Copper Ring and Lead Ring. Here's where to find those and what to do with them.

How To Solve The Lady of the Door Puzzle

You may want to take a quick moment to save at the Save Square near the Lady of the Door puzzle before moving on. Then, hop into the elevator and head to the Basement using your new key. 

On the way down, listen in for a weird radio show asking you some trivia about Silent Hill. If you're curious, the answers are B, C, and A respectively. You'll use these later in the Pharmacy.

In the Basement, keep going until you reach the Boiler Room. Climb through a hole in the wall to get into the Pump Room, where you'll find the Copper Ring. Pick it up to trigger a cutscene with Maria. She will join you again.

You'll suddenly end up on the first floor. Walk through the pool area to pick up a collectible picture - “They Musn’t Know” - on the bench. 

Next, make your way to the Doctor's Lounge to find a large chest. James has trouble opening it, so Maria will help him; inside is the second ring you'll need.  Pocket the Lead Ring and start making your way back to the Lady of the Door.

Once you get to the puzzle, place both rings on the Lady of the Door, opening up a new door to the basement.
