Silent Hill 2: How To Solve Grand Market Keypad Code

When running through the streets of Silent Hill for the first time as James Sunderland, you'll find a locked door with a pinpad that requires a code. Here's how to get the code to open the door to Grand Market in the streets of Silent Hill.

How To Find The Grand Market Door Code

To find the code for the keypad, you'll need to have first finished the jukebox puzzle and unlocked the back room to Neely's Bar. This back room of Neely's opens up to a new outdoor area. Head on down to the end of Sanders St.

Walk up to the large 18-wheeler truck and pick up the piece of paper next to it on the ground. The front of the paper says: "Checked 0000 to 4013".

Flip it over to see that the back of the paper says: "Checked from 4014 to 4439. I feel like I'm so close."

The person who wrote the note has checked numbers 4014 to 4439 on the keypad, meaning they've done much of the hard work for you - so that's your cue to check the next few numbers on the pinpad, starting with 4440. If you do this, you'll eventually discover that the code is 4444.

Entering The Keypad Code

You'll want to head to the pinpad - which is on a door on the side of Grand Market - and use this new information to your advantage. Enter 4444 on the keypad, being sure to watch out for any insects in the area that may harm you. After inputting this code, the door will open right up, allowing you to enter.

Inside, you'll find quite a few resources, including handgun bullets and Health Drinks. Don't worry that you don't have the handgun yet - you'll get it later, so those bullets will definitely come in handy. There are no story items in this area, but it's still definitely worth entering since there are tons of useful supplies sitting on the shelves.

Now that you've entered the keypad code and entered the shop, you can move on to solving the other puzzles in the streets of Silent Hill and head into the Woodside Apartments. You can simply exit through the front doors.
