Capcom's Resident Evil is getting a new Halloween season attraction at Universal Studios Japan (USJ), bringing the hit horror video game franchise to life. The new attraction, Biohazard: Night of Heroes, will allow fans to encounter their favourite characters in the series and explore the Umbrella research facility - but it's only open to those 13 and up, and is only open from 6pm 'til close.
USJ describes the attraction as follows:
“You’ve become lost in a long-abandoned Umbrella research facility. A lab where viruses that turn human beings into zombies and other bioorganic weapons were developed, it’s now become an uncontrolled area writhing with countless zombies and other creatures. Along with Claire, Chris, Leon, and Jill, who’ve arrived on the scene, can you survive the zombie hordes and hellish terror?”
This wouldn't be the first seasonal Resident Evil attraction to make its way to Universal Japan. In 2019, 2022, and 2023, the park hosted a Resident Evil themed maze called Biohazard The Extreme Plus. Like this year's upcoming attraction, predecessors didn't allow young children and were only open at night.
Biohazard Night of Heroes will run from September 6 to November 4, running throughout the park's Halloween season.
