You can find the LE 5 Submachine Gun in the Freezer room of the Island region. You come across this location while looking for the level 3 keycard to open Ashley's cell. You can find the exact location of this weapon in the screenshot above.

Once you're in the Freezer, look for a locked door. Sadly, to open up this door, you have to solve a tedious puzzle, arguably the most challenging one in the entire game.
