The pinnacle event of the PUBG Mobile competitive calander has come to an end, with fans having descended on London's ExCeL centre for the PUBG Mobile Grand Championships 2024. The three-day event saw 16 teams battle it out across 18 matches with the hopes of getting a hefty share of a $3,000,000 prize pool — the biggest ever seen for a UK esports tournament.

While the competition was fierce, it was South Korea's Dplus KIA that took the crown, beating out Turkey's Regnum Carya Bra Esports (RCB) by just a single point. A total of three WWCD wins and 153 points to their name, Dplus cinched their victory on Miramar after putting down Influence Rage's last-man standing, Carlos "LiLBOY" Roberto dos Santos Junior.

Even with the final win secured, there was a moment of confusion for both Dplus and RCB over who had won the overall tournament. With one point between the two teams, the competition couldn't have been closer. But, after some brief calculations, the band-aid was ripped off and Dplus were announced as the victors.

Dplus' winning team consisted of:

  • Park "FAVIAN" Sang-cheol
  • Go "OSAL" Han-bin
  • Song "Nolbu" Soo-an
  • Jung "chpz" Yoo-chan

Speaking in the winner's press conference after the tournament, the team said, "We want to thank the fans who supported us from Korea to here. We also want to thank our coach, who couldn’t make it, for always believing in us."

The team will now be looking ahead to the 2025 season where they'll be hoping to defend their title with a back-to-back PMGC victory. As for the rest of the teams, they'll no doubt be back hungrier than ever to steal the title.
