Something excitingly suspicious has occurred in Palia, and it bears blooming rewards for those seeking it. The Flowers and Trees System has arrived in-game and was added in the recent v0.178 patch update, as Palians can now start growing beautiful flower gardens on their Housing Plots.
To introduce this in-game feature to them, a friendly bug enthusiast is waiting fo their arrival to help them better understand it in a new quest, Suspicious Symbiosis. Enhance their Housing Plot with brightly colored flowers as we've explained how to complete the Suspicious Symbiosis quest, with objectives to follow, in Palia.
Palia Suspicious Symbiosis Quest Objectives List
Immediately when Palians log into Plaia, they'll find a visitor has appeared on their Housing Plot, hoping to have a quick word with them. Auni excitedly discusses Najuma's recent discovery after helping a bug from being stuck within their chimney, which dropped a seed.
Naturally, this led her to plant the seed that produced a wild Gardenia, and she told Auni that the bug that dropped the seed was from a butterfly. As such, Auni will be teaming up with them to confirm Najuma's discovery, which we've outlined the objectives for the Suspicious Symbiosis quest:
- Catch Blue Butterflies until you get a Gardenia
- Plant and grow the Gardenia
- Return to Auni
How To Complete The Suspicious Symbiosis Quest In Palia?
After speaking to Auni regarding Najuma's discovery, players will receive the Suspicious Symbiosis quest from him, thus starting their mission to confirm this event. As they'll be tasked with catching butterflies, they actually are to catch Common Blue Butterflies, which appear in Kilima Village, specifically the area surrounding Mirror Fields during the morning and daytime.
Based on what we know about the time passage in Palia, they have between 3 am and 6 pm in-game to equip some Smoke Bombs and throw down a Honey Lure to start catching Common Blue Butterflies. Palians can then begin to catch as many Common Blue Butterflies as possible until one drops a Gardenia seed, for which they can return to their Housing Plot to plant it.
They can choose any spot on their plot, no soil required, to plant the Gardenia seed before watering and waiting for it to bloom. According to the v0.178 patch notes, flowers have two stages until they fully bloom, and players can get one flower seed from fully grown flowers.
They can then report back to Auni with their findings to confirm Najuma's discovery, which completes the Suspicious Symbiosis quest. Upon its completion, Palians can receive five Renown and 40 Sticky Smoke Bombs as quest rewards.
