The latest update for the cozy MMO, Palia, v0.181, also known as the Bloomin' Bounties update, added a few new in-game features, more ways to earn rewards, and new prizes to claim. One such addition that arrived in-game is the follow-up to the previous update, which saw Palians sharing loot drops from specific activities as a new buff makes way for them to earn more rewards.
Introducing Party Puffs is a new in-game feature that can be gained when in a Party and is nearby Party members while participating in loot-orientated activities. If they want a full breakdown of how this feature works, we've explained in this resourceful guide and detailed a new related achievement and rewards to earn in Palia.
What Is The Party Buff Feature In Palia?
Palia introduced a broad range of adjustments and improvements in their v0.180 update, mainly improving the game's economy to make it more balanced for Palians to earn Gold and Renown. In addition to these changes, this update improved the game's Party system, allowing them to share loot drops when catching bugs, hunting Chaapas, Muujin, and Sernuk, mining nodes, and chopping trees.
The aforementioned Party system received more improvements in the v0.181 patch update, including a new in-game feature, Party Buffs. Party Buffs allow Palians to meet up and engage in various in-game activities, whereby having an active party member nearby will see them gain a buff.
This buff will grant all nearby party members an increased chance of doubling their loot from specific in-game loot-based activities such as Bug Catching, Fishing, Foraging, Hunting, and Mining. According to the v0.181 patch notes, the developer noted that party members must be within a radius of 35 meters of an active party member to gain the Party Buff and enjoy the rewards.
To check if the Party Buff is active, look to the top left corner of the screen in-game and locate their Player Name, where the icon can be visible below their Focus Bar. If they're in a Party, the party members can also be seen onscreen beneath the Party Buff icon, and to check their locations in-game hit the M key for the keyboard or the "-" on the Switch Joy-Con.
What Rewards Can Be Earned With Party Buffs In Palia?
As mentioned, having a Party Buff active allows Palians to increase their chances of doubling loot from Bug Catching, Fishing, Foraging, Hunting, and Mining activities. While they can claim the various loot drops such as meats, fur, flower seeds, Starstones, and other valuable resources, they can also earn XP, which adds towards the progression of a related Accomplishment, Party People.
