The v0.168 patch update for the cozy MMO Palia introduces a wealth of new content, including the Temple of the Flames location. This update sees two related quests available for players to complete in which they'll find themselves surrounded by fire and molten lava to solve new puzzles and mazes.
After Tau runs off without Hassian, leaving him trapped with the fabled Kitsuu, he will lead you to a new puzzle to solve. We have the solution to help you solve the Kitsuu Carving puzzle inside the Temple of the Flames in Palia.
How To Solve The Kitsuu Carving Puzzle In Palia?
The Kitsuu Carving puzzle is a mini-game players will find inside the Temple of the Flames when completing the A Catalyzing Caper quest. This puzzle appears in the final chamber, which is locked behind a puzzle; once solved, you can enter the chamber and read the inscription to provide you with a clue to cross over the lava to reach Tau on the opposite side and your first sighting of the Kitsuu.
Here, you'll be greeted by a Kitsuu-inspired carving puzzle that needs to be solved before continuing progress on the quest. Akin to the Glowing Fish Carving puzzle that appeared inside the temple at Phoenix Falls, they'll use their keyboard and mouse to move the puzzle pieces around the board.
More specifically, use the W, A, S, and D keys to line up the puzzle pieces to form the pattern of the Kitsuu and complete the picture. Here's how to solve the Kitsuu carving puzzle inside the temple exactly:
- Starting from the top row, move the second left puzzle piece to the right
- Then move the first left puzzle piece to the right
- Going down to the second row, move the first left puzzle piece upwards
- Follow that up by moving the second left puzzle piece to the left
- Move back up to the top row to move the second left piece down
- Then, move the third and fourth puzzle pieces to the left to solve the puzzle
Once the puzzle is solved, a cutscene shows some strange activity inside the Night Sky Temple. This sees a new vault unlocked inside the Night Sky Temple, which you can visit to view the four new bundles available: Brightbug, Emberseeker's, Flamerod, and the Sear-Chef bundles.
Like the Beach, Freshwater, Magic, and Spooky bundles, players will explore Kilima Village and Bahari Bay to forage, mine, and catch resources needed to complete these bundles. Some bundles will also call for specific dishes to be made before offering them to the bundles, where you'll receive bonus rewards for completing each bundle.
Once players have completed all four new bundles, they'll receive a magical reward, the Ancient Rock Garden furnishing item. This item was briefly seen inside the final chamber of the Temple of the Flames after crossing the invisible bridge to meet up with Tau and the Kitsuu he chased after.
