Eshe has had the entire town running errands following word that The Order is sending one of its members to Kilima Village. As the final touches have been made, Eshe cordially invites players to attend an extravagant evening at their residence to welcome Subira in the Extravagant Expectations quest.

Palia Extravagant Expectations Quest Objectives List

The third quest in the recently added questline involving Subira sees players finally seeing the fruits of their labor from the previous quests. After crafting furniture pieces in Fit For A Watcher and making unique dishes in Your Order Is Served, Eshe invites players to a welcoming party to meet Subira, who’ll be staying in town for her investigations.

As this quest is primarily dialogue-heavy, players will see all the Villagers attending the party before meeting with a member of The Order. Let’s look at all the quest objectives required to complete the Extravagant Expectations quest and how to complete it detailed below:

• Talk to Eshe between 6 pm - 12 am to get yourself to the party
• Introduce yourself to Subira
  • Return to Subira
• Distract Eshe with a proposal

• Meet Subira at the Inn

How To Complete The Extravagant Expectations Quest In Palia?

After completing the Fit For A Watcher and Your Order Is Served quests, players will receive a letter from Eshe inviting them to a lavish party held at her residence to welcome Subira. They’ll need to speak with her between 6 pm and 12 am to get themselves to the party, and once arriving, they have the option to speak to every Villager in attendance but speak to Eshe last.

Once they’ve spoken to Eshe, she’ll instruct them to introduce themselves to Subira, who can be found at the gazebo at the far end of the courtyard. She discusses her role as a Watcher for The Order while taking note of the elaborate efforts by Eshe in pulling the party together before asking if they’ll assist her with her investigations.

She’ll ask that you speak with her before they leave the party, which she tasks them with, creating a distraction for her to flee without Eshe. Choosing specific dialogue when speaking with Eshe regarding a proposal will help her successfully leave the party, which we’ve detailed below:

When asking for a favor from Eshe, players can choose any options, including promoting Maji Market or renovating the town center. However, the following best dialogue options are to respond, “Because Kilima deserves time in the spotlight” or “Because it will help generate income.”

This prompts Eshe to inquire about how to support this financially, and players can select any dialogue options. This chatter will provide the best opportunity for Subira to leave the party at this juncture, and Eshe is entirely distracted in finding Subira before asking her to leave the party.

Players will now meet Subira in her room at Ormuu’s Horn Inn, for which she revealed that the Council has accepted the player into their community. She adds that their investigations revealed that their records found that a rather tragic event involving magic prompted the disappearance of humans from the world, which was why magic was subsequently banned.

Subira then opts to make some Congee to help soothe her stomach after consuming some of the extravagant dishes at the party, inviting her to share a meal with them. Once Subira hands a bowl of Congee with their chosen toppings, this will conclude the Extravagant Expectations quest as players receive 50 Renown, the Congee recipe, and can start befriending Subira to increase their Friendship level with her.
