Previously formed the disbanded Mayhem Academy members, Revival have unveiled an almost entirely new set of players going into next year.
For Overwatch Contenders 2020, Tim "Manneten" Bylund remains as a tank alongside Siarhei "Bogur" Alekau.
Two new 17-year-old DPS players have also joined Revival and both of the new support role players will be popular Overwatch streamers Francine "Fran" Vo and Becca "Aspen" Rukavina.
Fran was previously a full-time streamer for Atlanta Reign and was the first streamer announced for the team back in November 2018. As news of the 2-2-2 meta being introduced to the Overwatch League came out and the scene expected a shakeup, Fran announced she would be looking to make the jump from streamer to pro earlier in 2019.
Aspen was previously a streamer for North American organisation Cloud9 before also leaving to pursue the goal of switching from a streamer to a professional Overwatch player back in July.
Hey guys, wanted to give everyone an update about my future plans.

Spoilers: I’m going pro - Contact my agent @Eidelweiss. Thanks again to @Cloud9 for all their support. pic.twitter.com/J4owu32LUT
Supportive responses from the community even included a reply from her now-teammate Manneten wishing her luck.
Following the 'Ellie' controversy, which Aspen revealed the truth about on her stream, many worried that female players would subsequently struggle to find places on competitive teams.
Shanghai Dragons' Se-yeon "Geguri" Kim was the first female player to be signed to a professional Overwatch team and one of the few women in esports to make it to the top tier in their respective scenes.
If Aspen or Fran were to impress during Contenders, they could see themselves becoming the second ever female player in the OWL.
The 2020 Overwatch Contenders season should begin early next year with an altered format and schedule from previous years. All of the details can be found on this Overwatch League page.
