Season 11 of Overwatch 2 has just been announced with a full trailer showcasing all the exciting content we can expect next season. Among the announcements of a new Kamen Rider-inspired battle pass and skins, the rework of the Colosseo map, and the introduction of the new Runasapi map, we've also received confirmation of the return of community-created modes.
If you're as thrilled as we are about the return of this mode, or if you're not familiar with it and want to learn more, you're in the right place. Below, we'll discuss the details and everything we know so far regarding the return of community-created modes in Overwatch 2 Season 11.
Overwatch 2 Season 11 Will See The Return of Community-created Modes
Back in 2021, when Overwatch 1 was the flagship hero shooter, the game introduced a limited-time mode where popular streamers—such as Flats, Somjuu, and Violet—were invited to "balance" heroes, allowing players to experience these changes in standard match modes. As you might imagine, these adjustments were completely over the top but also extremely fun, similar to the April Fools' Day changes we saw this year.
Now, after a two-year absence, the developers are bringing back this concept for Season 11, creating a limited-time mode with input from creators. While we don't yet know who these creators are, the Season 11 trailer gives us a glimpse of potential changes.
In the trailer, we see Zenyatta flying vertically with his Transcendence ultimate and Hanzo’s Storm Arrows shooting multiple arrows at once in a cone area in front of him. This is likely just the tip of the iceberg, as we know how crazy the changes can get.
For now, we'll have to wait and see which creators will be involved and what kind of changes they will implement. But as always, you can rest assured we'll cover all the details and more as we move into Season 11 of Overwatch 2.
