With Overwatch 2 Season 13 embracing a spooky and mystical theme, players eagerly dive into all the changes and updates it brings. One such update involves the reworking of several maps, with Dorado being singled out for a major design flaw.

Let’s explore what players have uncovered, the issue with Dorado, and how it could impact the overall gameplay as Overwatch 2 progresses through Season 13.

Overwatch 2 Player Reports Glaring Issue with Dorado Map After Season 13 Rework

As part of the map reworks for Season 13, many players have praised Blizzard for their efforts to reinvigorate maps with various changes, both small and large. These updates range from adding cover objects to creating entirely new sections of buildings and improving high-ground access. While Dorado also saw some positively received changes, it appears to have one significant flaw.

As showcased by user kryyOW on X, the defending team can now stall and contest the payload by standing on a bridge just before the turn to the second point. In the clip, the defending players simply stand on the bridge above the enemy team’s cart, halting its movement and confusing the attackers.

In response to this, one commenter noted, “Blizz, I fear there’s an unexpected side effect of reworking Dorado,” which is a reasonable concern. Other players on Reddit echoed this sentiment, stating, “I’m not sure if this is intended, but considering they changed this interaction a couple of months ago so we can’t contest the Push Bot from high ground on various maps anymore, I assume it isn’t.”

Playable but needs a fix

Players also pointed out that similar issues have occurred on other maps but were eventually fixed, making it ironic to see it arise on Dorado. One player expressed, “I hope that’s a bug and gets patched, ’cause that seems ridiculous,” while another joked, “No way they fixed it in some maps and added it to others, lmao.”

Of course, the opposing team does eventually move up to the bridge to engage and start pushing the cart in the clip, indicating that the situation can be managed within the game. However, as fans have noted, it shouldn’t be this way. We hope Blizzard addresses this issue promptly, and for now, if you're playing on Dorado as an attacker, just keep this in mind.
