NBA 2K25 Pre Order Editions Explained, How to Get NBA League Pass

After months of anticipation, it's finally time to hit the road to NBA 2K25 with the release date and cover stars now official. For players who already wanna get their NBA 2K25 pre order locked in, there are a daunting four different versions on the table.

The WNBA Edition once again arrives as a GameStop exclusive physical version, but the best bonus of NBA League Pass is locked to only the top tier version of NBA 2K25. We'll break down all the NBA 2K25 editions here and their rewards so players can decide which one is the right pick.

NBA 2K25 Pre Order Editions, All Rewards and Differences

2K has finally unveiled the NBA 2K25 editions, and there are four different options for players to consider ahead of the September 6, 2024 release date. Even if you're one of the many players who knows NBA 2K is a guaranteed pre order lock every year, it can be daunting to break down the differences between the two to figure out which is the best value.

Not every player will need the MyCAREER boosts, but others may wanna go all in specifically to make sure they get the free year of NBA League Pass. Here, we'll go through each edition so you know exactly what your money will provide.

NBA 2K25 Standard Edition Pre Order Rewards

If you're not looking for all the extras and frills, particularly players who plan to spend all their time in MyNBA (or MyLEAGUE on Xbox One and PS4), going with the NBA 2K25 Standard Edition should be plenty. You can get it for $69.99 on every platform except Nintendo Switch, which benefits from a $59.99 pricetag.

While there isn't any additional content specific to the edition, if you get your pre-order placed ahead of launch, even the Standard Edition will get the following:

• Trendsetter Green Animation
• MyCAREER 2HR XP Coin
• Exclusive Trendsetter Cosmetic Set
• Ruby Jayson Tatum Player Card

It's important to note that only 5,000 VC of the above will be available regardless of when you start playing, but the rest are Trendsetter Rewards which must be redeemed via the Season Pass page in-game before October 17, 2024. This remains true for every edition of NBA 2K25.

NBA 2K25 WNBA Edition Pre Order Rewards

Next up, for WNBA lovers there's the NBA 2K25 WNBA Edition which will once again be a physical copy exclusive to GameStop in North America. You can get this version on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only for $69.99, and it will include all the same pre order rewards as the above Standard Edition. The primary difference is that you'll have a physical copy instead of a digital download, and the box art will feature cover athlete A'ja Wilson. While most other versions are doing dual entitlement for PlayStation and Xbox, it isn't listed in this case, so players likely will not get digital downloads for PS4 and Xbox One versions if they purchase the WNBA Edition. 

NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition Pre Order Rewards

If you're looking to spend most of your time in MyCAREER this year, jumping up to the NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition comes with a ton of extras. You'll receive all of the previously outlined Standard Edition pre order rewards, with the following on top of that:

NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition feat. NBA League Pass

Last up we have the top of the line NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition. This limited time version will only be available to pre order through September 8, 2024. If you're looking to snag NBA League Pass with your copy of NBA 2K25, make sure not to wait too long and miss that window.

The NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition will include all of the rewards outlined above for the All-Star Edition and Standard Edition, including the Trendsetter rewards which still have to be redeemed in-game before October 17, 2024. On top of that, you'll get an exclusive Vince Carter Cover Jersey for MyCAREER and a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass.

The NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition is only available as a digital copy on PS4 & PS5 (via Dual Entitlement), Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S (via Dual Entitlement), and PC for $149.99. The NBA League Pass subscription is valid for 12 months from the day it's redeemed, and will auto-renew to a monthly standard-price NBA League Pass subscription unless auto-renewal is turned off. If you got NBA League Pass with NBA 2K24 or are planning to do so if the same deal is available for NBA 2K26, make sure you've turned off auto-renewal on your NBA League Pass account so you don't get charged and can redeem the new bonus as soon as it's available.
