Second Dinner launched their latest game mode, Sanctum Showdown, after the weekly reset on 25th February 2025 for Marvel Snap. This is the third limited-time mode, following Deadpool's Diner and High Voltage, where Snappers will battle for points by having the most power at Sanctum locations to earn Scrolls and Charms.
As always, the limited-time game mode has a unique shop in which the Charms can be used to acquire various items, including one of the three new cards, Uncle Ben! This guide explains Uncle Ben's card ability, highlighting his key synergies, notable counters, and some decks to add Uncle Ben in Marvel Snap.
Marvel Snap Uncle Ben Card Abilities Explained
The most lore-accurate card in Marvel Snap has finally arrived to the card battler game in the last week of the "Brave New World" season after being datamined a few years ago and was held off releasing since. Uncle Ben Parker is here to aid one Peter Parker / Spider-Man in unfortunate circumstances, mainly due to its ability and the condition that must be required for this card to synergize well with specific deck archetypes.
Uncle Ben is available in-game at last as a Series 4 card release with a one-Cost and two-Power stat line. This card has a Common Ability, which Spider-Man will replace once the Uncle Ben card is destroyed, and it has an On Reveal ability to move to another location and pull a random enemy card from the previous location to a new one.
Snappers will have to find unique ways of destroying Uncle Ben for Spider-Man to be triggered, meaning cards like Carnage, Killmonger, Venom, Deathlok, and Lady Deathstrike are key synergies, and so are Kingpin, Kraven, and Scream. Locations like Altar of Death, The Space Throne, and Death's Domain would be ideal locations for Uncle Ben; however, Armor and Red Guardian are a few known counters for this card.
Like Gorgon, Uncle Ben can be acquired by spending 1,200 Charms via the Portal Pull system available through the Sanctum Shop during the Sanctum Showdown game mode event. Likewise, if the RNG luck wasn't on their side, the card will be available to purchase from the Token Shop for 3,000 Collector's Tokens on 13th March 2025.
Best Marvel Snap Uncle Ben Decks: Spidey Destroy
As mentioned, Snappers will need to get value from Uncle Ben once it's destroyed through various cards and allow them to set up the location to destroy Spider-Man with Venom. With Lady Deathstrike and Knull dropping from Series 4 to 3 in March 2025, this would be the best starting Destroy deck for new Snappers, especially with Uncle Ben being a Series 4 card costing 3,000 Collector's Tokens if they were unable to get the card during the Sanctum Showdown game mode.
This budget-friendly Destroy deck from Marvel Snap content creator ReZ Snapper puts Uncle Ben upfront and center, which is used to build a location. Snappers can get Destroy Uncle Ben and Bucky Barnes with Carnage for Angel to appear on board before playing Nova, Wolverine, and Shanna the She-Devil using Killmonger to destroy the one-Cost cards.
Depending on which location has more power value cards to destroy, Venom can be played at that location with Lady Deathstrike in an adjacent location to destroy other cards to help discount Death. The latter card can be played on the final turn with Knull, which should have enough power from the destroyed cards to secure Snappers a win!
Best Marvel Snap Uncle Ben Decks: Ben Screaming For Help
We've mentioned that Uncle Ben could be the disruptive card once destroyed, allowing Spider-Man to replace the card and move an enemy card to a different location. With Kraven and Scream being two other synergistic cards for Uncle Ben, it should be factored that this deck will need Killmonger to make this possible during matches.
As such, this Destroy and Move deck from Marvel Snap content creator Den Hearthstone keeps Killmonger and Uncle Ben together as a combo package, but Snappers should set up adjacent locations with Kraven and Scream before playing Uncle Ben and Killmonger. The Uncle Ben/Killmonger/Spider-Man interaction will help discount Miles Morales, who can be played with Polaris or Stegron in the next turn.
Snappers will also have Sam Wilson / Captain America to utilize and move Cap's Shield between Wilson and Kraven to give the latter more power. They'll also have Iron Patriot on hand to gain a potentially valuable card, which they have Cannonball to win its location, and finally, Aero can be played on the final turn (with Miles Morales if they held off playing the card) to swing location priority for them thus winning the match.
Best Marvel Snap Uncle Ben Decks: Milling For Uncle Ben
Alternatively, Snappers can insert Uncle Ben in decks that utilize other playstyles or archetypes alongside Destroy, which a Mill-inspired deck should come to mind. This gives Snappers access to another viable playline to reduce their opponent's deck with key cards like Yondu, Cable, Baron Zemo, and Gladiator while still having Killmonger available to destroy Uncle Ben.
This Mill-inspired deck from Marvel Snap content creator Alexander Coccia will give Snappers more one-Cost targets other than Uncle Ben being The Hood and Yondu, but for the playline, consider playing Yondu and Fenris Wolf in adjacent locations first. Turn 3 could have them playing Uncle Ben, Baron Zemo, or Gladiator by Fenris Wolf, and the next turn, play The Hood and Cable at Yondu's location and Misery thereafter to re-trigger The Hood, Yondu, and Cable.
They can eventually play Killmonger to destroy Uncle Ben so Spider-Man can appear on board to play the Demon Token cards generated by The Hood, which they'll have Shang-Chi and Lady Deathstrike as counters to their opponent's cards. Activate Fenris Wolf on the final turn before playing Death to secure location priority and hopefully get a Victory screen for their efforts.
