Marvel Comics fans will be familiar with the name Sasquatch, an incredibly strong and huge creature possessing super strength capabilities like enhanced strength, stamina, durability and speed, and an accelerated healing factor. In the 616 Universe, Sasquatch was Dr. Walter Langkowski, who would go on to form prominent assembled teams like the Alpha Flight and had run-ins with the Incredible Hulk, the X-Men, and Deadpool throughout its multiple appearances.

Now Sasquatch is looking to bring its enhanced skillset to Marvel Snap this season, but is it worth getting or skipping? We'll examine the latest card release, Sasquatch, by looking at its abilities and synergies and highlighting a few starting decks to play in Marvel Snap.

Marvel Snap Sasquatch Card Abilities Explained

This powerful character will be laying the smackdown as it crashes to Marvel Snap in the current A Blink in Time season, which is the final card drop for this season. At release, Sasquatch will be a six-Cost and ten Energy card with an extremely interesting ability that has a few deck archetypes in mind.

Sasquatch will cost one less for every card played the previous turn, which, of course, unless they didn't play the last turn, will remain at six-Cost and ten Energy. Naturally, when it comes to deckbuilding, we'll detail below how players can reliably and safely bring Sasquatch's cost to the lowest possible.

However, some of the biggest counters to Sasquatch include Shang-Chi and Mobius M. Mobius, the latter of which could be avoided by countering it with Enchantress and Red Guardian. As such, players looking to add this formidable card to their decks can acquire it from the Spotlight Caches using a Spotlight Key, but if using Spotlight Keys isn't an option for players, spending 6,000 Collector's Tokens at the in-game Shop during its release week can nab them the Sasquatch card in Marvel Snap.

Best Marvel Snap Sasquatch Decks: Sasquatch Slayin' Lockdown

As we've mentioned, Shang-Chi and Mobius M. Mobius are the biggest counters to Sasquatch; with the latter proving to be a real threat, players will want to try and avoid Sasquatch from being voided by MMM. Enchantress and Red Guardian are the ideal counters, as the latter can remove MMM's ability by at least Turn 3 if MMM has yet to be played.

One of the few decks that players can try their hands at is a Ravonna Renslayer Lockdown deck from Marvel Snap content creator DenHearthstone, which takes advantage of Rensalyer's ability to discount cards. This means players will have access to cards like Kitty Pryde, Nebula, Angela, Havok, Sage, and Professor X relatively early and play at least one turn earlier for more explosive plays, reducing Sasquatch's cost significantly.

Players can set Professor X by playing White Widow and/or Sasquatch before the Prof is on the board, and Jeff the Baby Land Shark can be moved to this location if they're already played. Likewise, they can set up another lane with Angela and Sage and, if needed, use Cannonball to move the highest-Powered card away from a location to set a victory.

Best Marvel Snap Sasquatch Decks: A Mysterio/Quatch Match

Naturally, the first thought many had when looking at Sasquatch's ability is that it synergizes with the Bounce deck archetype. While Bounce can be slightly challenging for players to master, this specific deck from Marvel Snap content creator ItsGuestGaming isn't necessarily a Bounce deck but features cards that prominently are included in Bouce decks along with another card synergy that too relies on a similar mechanic to reduce its cost in Mockingbird.

This deck mainly consists of one-Cost cards like The Hood/Demon, Kitty Pryde, and Nico Minoru, which the latter could potentially use one of her spells to transform a card into a Demon and reduce Mockingbird's cost. Likewise, if players have Mysterio enter their hand, they can play it down to bring Sasquatch's cost to around 3/10 in the next turn.

Alternatively, they can set up their Sasquatch play by playing Bishop on Turn 3 before Mysterio and then Sasquatch while the other lane focuses on the Angela and Pryde pairing before Elsa Bloodstone enters their hand. While it's warranted that a Bounce almost always features Hit-Monkey, Sage is a replacement for the card, so if players don't have Sage, they can swap it out for Hit-Monkey.

Best Marvel Snap Sasquatch Decks: Thanos Destroy

Players who fancy a deck archetype that would be easier to play can use this Thanos Destroy deck with Sasquatch. (Picture: Untapped.gg)

If Bounce or Lockdown isn't the type of gameplay they want to slot Sasquatch in, a neat Destroy package with Sasquatch and another good synergy card, Skaar, could appeal to players. Marvel Snap content creator DenHearthstone provides this potent Thanos/Destroy deck, for which players will rely on the Infinity Stones to reduce Sasquatch's cost.

But if energy needs are a concern to get important cards like Crossbones and Cull Obsidian on the board, Hope Summers can provide that for them. Do bear in mind that Cull Obsidian can only be played once any one Cost card has been played, while Crossbones demands them to win a location, which can trigger Skaar's ability, allowing it to be played.

Don't forget that the Infinity Stones can also reduce Mockingbird's cost, for which, once all have been played, they can destroy them with Killmonger to make Death more accessible. All that's left is getting Sasquatch, Mockingbird, and Thanos on the board, but if Thanos doesn't enter their hand, Blob can also be played in its stead as it will merge its Power.
