Second Dinner released a new game update, providing the latest and updated details on multiple features and gameplay content, which is arriving soon, is currently in development and in concept for Marvel Snap. As for what's heading our way later this month, including more Login Rewards and the Collector's Vault, the High Voltage game mode will go live soon with plenty of rewards to unlock.
One of these shockingly amazing rewards to earn is the next card release, Agony, but how much time do Snappers need to unlock this agonizing card? We have the scoop regarding the Agony card unlock through the High Voltage game mode, and we've included additional details for Snappers to know in Marvel Snap.
How To Get The Agony Base Card In Marvel Snap?
Agony is one of seven new cards debuting in Marvel Snap, of which Agony is the next Symbiote to worm its way in-game. This latest card release comes our way as part of the "We Are Venom" season, in which venomized heroes and villains join Knull, Carnage, and Venom for some deadly battles in-game that leave opponents stunned that defeats will linger longer than a quick munch of a chocolate bar.
Traditionally, Snappers have a few ways of acquiring new cards in-game, the first being if it's a Season pass reward card or becomes available for a limited time via the Spotlight Caches, which requires Spotlight Keys to unlock. Another way is using Collector's Tokens to purchase the new cards through the Token Shop, as Agony can be acquired in a similar fashion to Cassandra Nova back in the July 2024 season, "Maximum Effort."
Like Cassandra Nova, Agony is a reward card that can be unlocked through the new limited-time game mode, High Voltage. Snappers must earn enough Volts by participating and winning matches and finishing High Voltage missions, which contribute to the Rewards Tracker, and they can unlock unique rewards such as Credits, an Iron Man variant, and, of course, the Agony base card.
Second Dinner revealed development build images for the High Voltage game mode as part of the October 2024 Development Roadmap update, disclosing that the Agony base card may be unlocked after accumulating 8,000 Volts. However, as this image is a development build and not the final result, this amount is subject to change once the game mode goes live on 16th October 2024, following the daily refresh at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET / 7 pm UTC.
With the end date for the High Voltage game mode yet to be confirmed by Second Dinner as of writing, Snappers have a limited time to earn Volts to unlock the Agony base card for free. If they don't gain enough Volts in time or didn't unlock the card, Agony will become available via the Token Shop as a Series 4 card drop from 31st October 2024; however, the developer has yet to announce how much Collector's Tokens they're likely to spend.
