Lost Ark Europe West servers available? Release date and time

The extremely popular MMO and ARPG hybrid, Lost Ark, got off to a mammoth Western launch earlier in February. With the high popularity came some server issues, such as the "Lost 10027 Error Cannot Connect Due To Heavy Traffic" error caused by a large influx of players. The error has plagued those on the Central Europe servers the most, alongside the Selected Region is Closed issue. To alleviate these issues and expand the server list, the developers are launching Lost Ark Europe West servers.

Here's what we know so far about the Lost Ark Europe West servers, including when we can expect them to become available, and how the latest update is helping the process along.

Are Lost Ark Europe West servers available?

The game's first real update (not a hotfix) was released on 17th February at roughly 08:00 UTC. This update lays the groundwork for the launch of Lost Ark Europe West servers.

Once the Lost Ark Europe West servers become available, it is important to note what the developers have mentioned in a recent post: "The new region will be ideal for players who have not yet created their character or haven't otherwise committed to stay on their existing server.

"If you plan to restart in the new region, you may wish to hold off on claiming any 'per Account' items, such as the additional Founder’s Pack Redemption, until you have created a character and are able to redeem in the new region."

At the time of writing, the Lost Ark West Europe servers are not available. It is also important to note that Royal Crystals are safe and will change regions with you.

Lost Ark Europe West servers release date & time

At the time of writing, the exact release date and time for the Lost Ark Europe West servers has not been revealed.

We do know, however, that the update on 17th February 2022 has laid the groundwork for the servers to become available.

The developer explains: "After maintenance, we'll have taken a major step towards opening a new region to host servers in Europe called Europe West. You'll see the region selection tab after maintenance is complete, but new servers will not be available immediately. We'll update you when it's available."

Maintenance for the update is expected to end at roughly 11:00 UTC on 17th February. Following the maintenance period, players will be able to see the Lost Ark Europe West server tab but will be unable to join.

It could be days, a week or more before the Europe West servers actually launch. We suggest keeping an eye on the official Server Status page.
