Does Knockout City have voice chat? Voice chat fixes detailed

Electronic Art's team-based Dodgeball title, Knockout City, was released on 21st May 2021. Since then, many players have been enjoying this new, fast-paced multiplayer title. The thing about multiplayer games are, you need to be able to communicate with your team, right? Well, that might lead some players to wonder if Knockout City has voice chat, especially if they only recently started playing the game. Yes, Knockout City does have voice chat, but many players have been experiencing issues with the feature.

Knockout City voice chat: How to fix

More and more players are reporting that Knockout City voice chat isn't working for them. Some say they can't hear others from specific platforms (this is a cross-platform title) while other's can't hear anything at all, and no one is responding to their voice messages.

Thankfully, there are some easy ways to fix the Knockout City voice chat issue. While these are simple measures, many players might not have noticed these settings, or know how the game's voice chat operates.

First, you need to understand how voice chat works in Knockout City. The game has a voice channel chat system, with the options. The first is Group Channel, which lets you only talk to players you are partied up with. The second is a Team Channel, which allows you to talk to anyone who joins your team via matchmaking.

To fix the voice chat in Knockout City, follow the steps below.

• Run the game.
• Head to the Hideout.
• Click on Main Menu and go to "Settings".
• Head to the "Social Settings" tab on the far right.
• At the top of the Social Settings tab, choose between Group Channel or Team Channel depending on your needs.

If you can't hear someone from another platform while playing on Xbox, make sure your cross-platform communication is enabled. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Head to Profile & System on your Xbox.
• Navigate to Settings then Account.
• Change the "Voice and Text" options to "Everybody".

This will allow you to communicate with and hear players on other platforms via cross-play. For those who are still running into issues, test your audio devices in other games, as this might be a hardware or software issue. For example, always have the latest drivers installed for your audio devices, and make sure your hardware works properly.
