You can't choose which side you play during each match of Killer Klowns from Outer Space - but you can choose your loadout both as Klown and as Human, so you'll be prepared no matter which side you're assigned. There are various Klown types and Human archetypes, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Some are better than others on both sides of the coin when it comes to combat, stamina, speed, and other aspects. Here's our opinion on the best Klown types in Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

Best Klown Types, Ranked

There are five different Klown types in Killer Klowns from Outer Space: Ranger, Tracker, Trapper, Tank, and Brawler. Each one has different stats and a unique appearance.

You'll start out as a Ranger; it's the only class accessible to you before you level up a bit. This class is an all-rounder and, thankfully for those who are just getting started, is a great character for beginners to get a feel for the game and how to play Klown. While the Ranger isn't the best class in the game, it's one of the most versatile, making it a great choice for many players.

You'll unlock the Tracker at Level 12, who's another solid all-rounder; he has about the same health as the Ranger, but boasts high Stamina and Movement alongside mediocre Strength and Senses, letting him keep up with survivors and take them down with ease.

The Tank is one of the worst Klown types in the game. The Tank is strong and has great Senses, letting him jump into battle and take hits for other Klowns, but he's so slow that he can't always keep up with the humans. He's also not a great Klown on his own, so without the help of teammates, there's almost no way to win as this character.

The Trapper has the opposite issue when it comes to stats, but is equally weak; he's quick and agile, but he extremely low Health and Strength. He also has low Senses, leaving him vulnerable to any attack from humans. To make things even worse for this class, the Trapper doesn't have access to his tripping ability currently, as developers removed it for balancing reasons. It's possible it could be added back in the future, but for now, the Trapper is the bottom of the barrel.

The Brawler is the last class you'll unlock at Level 50 and is arguably the best in the game for now. While he has the lowest health of all the Klowns (on par with only the Trapper at 2/5 health bars), he makes up for that with his excellent stats. The Brawler has just a below average Strength stat, but has max Movement and almost maximum Stamina stats, meaning he's not only able to keep up with humans but also flee if he needs to.
