After six extensive beta weekends, Icarus v1.0 is ready for launch.
Those that have jumped into the game so far have been met with a richly detailed world, with an extensive survival, building and combat system.
The world itself is richly detailed too, with impressive graphics bringing to life the mysterious and, at times, frightening world of Icarus.
So richly detailed, in fact, that many are finding their PC struggling to meet the game's system requirements and subsequently having some pretty poor performance.
Now, we aren't quite at the stage of offering ways to improve performance in Icarus (that will be offered when we get our hands on v1.0) but we felt it necessary to explain the game's system requirements, to potentially save you a purchase if your PC won't be able to run it.
And on that note, here are both the minimum and recommended system requirements for Icarus.
Icarus - system requirements
So here are the minimum system requirements for Icarus. Take note of the minimum required RAM which is 16 GB (We are well and truly almost in 2022 now) and the graphics card which is not only a 1060 but also boasts a chunky 6 GB.
Minimum

- Processor: Intel i5 8400
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB

- Storage: 70 GB available space
Recommended system requirements
Now onto the recommended, where 32GB RAM and a 3060ti is put forward as suitable for running the game. This machine is not quite top-of-the-line but it's not far off and -- we can't be forceful enough about this -- a lot of PC gamers will not be able to run this game.
