Genshin Impact Fans Upset After Honkai Star Rail Free 5-Star Character Announcement

During the Honkai Star Rail 1.6 Livestream, it was announced that all players would be receiving one free copy of limited 5-Star character, Dr. Ratio. This was done in part to thank the community for their efforts in helping Honkai Star Rail win multiple awards across various different end of year ceremonies. Naturally, Trailblazers were over the moon to hear about this news. Unfortunately, Genshin Impact fans were less than impressed. 

Genshin Impact players have been voicing their displeasure across various social media, outlining how it is unfair for only Honkai Star Rail players to get a free 5-Star character. 

Genshin Impact, at the time of writing this, has never given out a free 5-Star character to its players. Despite winning similar awards in 2021, players only received 1600 Primogems. 

Clearly, Genshin Impact has set a precedent for not giving out freebies to its players. Whether this favorable treatment of the Honkai Star Rail player base will change things is still up in the air.  

In the meantime, Genshin Impact players will just have to sit back, wait, and hope that HoYoverse comes through with similar rewards sometime soon.
