The Honkai: Star Rail closed beta went live on 27th October for the lucky Trailblazers who managed to get in. For those who are unaware, the first closed beta will wipe your progression when it ends, and there are eight interesting characters to pick from. With players travelling to Jarilo-VI and levelling up on either PC or iOS, some might be wondering if Honkai: Star Rail has cross-progression or a cross-save feature. Don't worry, we've got you covered.
Honkai: Star Rail cross-save and progression
Even in the first closed beta of Honkai: Star Rail, developer miHoYo has ensured that Trailblazers can jump between PC and iOS, picking up where they left off.
Yes, Honkai: Star Rail has cross-progression and a cross-save feature, which will likely be expanded to other platforms as well as it is linked to a player's miHoYo account.
There is, however, some caveats. Closed beta access can only be linked to one iOS and one PC device. Further, account sharing with another person is prohibited.
The game does have cross-save functionality, which means you can pick up where you left off in your progression with your miHoYo account ID, switching between PC and iOS, but you can't run it at the same time on both devices.
miHoYo explains: "You have run the game on your PC and logged out, then you can use the same miHoYo Account ID to continue the game on your iOS device. However, during the First Closed Beta, one miHoYo Account ID can only log in on one PC and one iOS device."
Since Honkai: Star Rail's closed beta is just for iOS and PC so far, we can't speak to cross-save and cross-progression for other platforms just yet but we will keep you up to date with the developments for this feature as the game gets closer and closer to release.
