The Abundant Ebon Deer in Honkai Star Rail is weak to Fire, Wind, and Quantum Element characters. This should be the very first thing to think about when trying to face this boss. Does your team have characters that can inflict Weakness Break on the enemy? If not, it may be time to start investing in some characters that can deal with this boss. 

Here are some tips on taking down this mighty stag. 

Have The Right Elements

As mentioned, players will need to have the correct Elements in order to inflict Weakness Break on not only the Abundant Ebon Deer itself but the additional enemies the deer spawns. 

Each enemy will be weak to Ice, Quantum, and Imaginary Element characters, meaning a mixed team will be needed to deal with all enemies effectively. 

Destroy the Additional Enemies First (In The First Phase)

Bursting down the deer is very difficult unless you have the perfect units and amazing Relics. It is recommended to bring AOE characters to deal with all of the additional summonses as quickly as possible. 

It Is Possible To Nuke The Boss (In The Second Phase)

The Ebon Deer will unleash a hugely powerful attack if any branches are left alive after a certain amount of time during the second phase. It can be difficult to take out the branches while still dealing damage to the deer itself. If you have the means to deal with the branches while still attacking the deer, then this is the best strategy. 

However, if you have a strong single-target damage dealer (like Seele), nuking the boss is a great strategy as well, provided you have the means to tank at least once nuke from the boss. It is likely that Seele can do a lot of damage but will die from the first nuke. If you have a character like Bailu and get a lucky revive or have a tanky DPS like Clara to clean up the final chunk of health, this is a good strategy as well.
