Honkai: Star Rail has had a successful launch, and HoYoverse is keeping players engaged with new events like Boulder Town Super League, characters, and more. In addition to this, they are also keeping a tab on the community's feedback to improve the gameplay experience. They have released the first developer notes before the release of the Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 update addressing some of the talked topics.
You can find all of them below, and these include information regarding Chat System, settings regarding flashy effects, and more.
Honkai Star Rail 1.1 Update Dev Notes
Here’s what developers revealed in the latest discussion about the Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 update and beyond, along with the improvements they plan to make.
Chat System
Players have not been able to chat with their friends even after adding them to the game because there is no option for that. Developers have listened to the players, and they will be adding a Chat System in Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 update that will let you communicate with your friends while playing.

Greetings, Trailblazers! This is Pom-Pom!
It's been a while since the Astral Express's departure. How are things going for everyone's trailblazing expedition?
The Crew has received a lot of feedback from Trailblazers as we operate the Express~… pic.twitter.com/fBHzpF2F0a
Enemies' Locations
At the moment, finding enemies dropping the required character ascension materials is extremely difficult and is consuming a lot of time. However, starting from version 1.1, you can click on Sources to see the location of corresponding enemies on the map.
Sanctus Medicus Missions
The quests related to Sanctus Medicus in Xianzhou are ruining players' experience as they feel that it is really abrupt and forced. To fix this, devs will adjust the quest structure and alter all Trailblaze Missions related to Sanctus Medicus into Adventure Missions so that you can explore and complete them whenever you want.
Characters' Expressions in Camera Mode
Each character has the same expressions in Camera Mode, making clicking pictures a bit boring. So, to mix it up, HoYoverse will improve the "Camera Mode - Facial Expression" feature for some characters in Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 update and will keep improving it even more in future updates.
Optimization Feature For Flashy Effects
Too many flashy effects in Seele's Ultimate have been hurting players' eyes, and to fix this issue, HoYoverse will add relevant options in Settings for players to adjust parameters as per their comfort. However, this is a work in progress as it "requires extra development and testing" and will not be available with the 1.1 update.
That is everything you need to know about Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 update dev notes.
