Like A Moth To A Frame Quest Walkthrough Guide

To begin, talk to Lenora Everleigh in Central Hall. She will tell you about this empty portrait whose mystery she's been trying to solve. Once you have accepted the quest, go towards the empty portrait and cast Lumos. Doing so will reveal a picture of a location in the Central Hall. It's just down the staircase on the right.

Go there and cast Lumos again to attract a magical moth to your wand. Now do not undo Lumos until you have returned to the empty portrait. Cast off the Lumos and the moth should return to the painting, thus solving the puzzle. Talk to Lenora again to complete the quest.

 You can find empty portraits like these throughout Hogwarts. The moths associated with them are usually not far off. Simply cast Lumos and roam the area, and you shouldn't have much difficulty attracting the moths and solving the puzzle to gain some extra XP.
