All Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian Keys Locations & How To Open House Chest

After you finish the main story quest, "Welcome to Hogsmead," in Hogwarts Legacy, you will find a new quest added called "The Daedalian Keys," in which you will have to find the keys and chase them back to their cabinets and put them in their keyholes to get a special House Chest reward.

There are a total of 16 Daedalian Keys in the game, and they are pretty tricky to find but worry not, as we have mentioned all the locations of these keys below to save you some precious time. 

Note: You will need to use the Alohomora spell in this quest, so make sure you have learned it by completing the quest "The Caretaker's Lunar Lament." 

All 16 Daedalian Key Locations In Hogwarts Legacy

You can start the quest by talking to Nellie Oggspire in Transfiguration Courtyard, where she will tell you about the Daedalian keys and ask you to find them. Once you have spoken to her, the keys will spawn, and you can start looking for them, and here is where you can find them.

Daedalian Key 1: Astronomy Tower

The location of the first key is marked on the map automatically after you have talked to Nellie, and you will just have to follow the path marked with a yellow line to find it. You can fast travel to Astronomy Tower Floo Flame or walk there and then go upstairs to find the key. You will then have to follow it and reach its cabinet.

Now, you will have to slap the key while it's flying around the keyhole or facing towards it to put it into the keyhole. It might take a few tries, but once done, the cabinet will open, and you will find an old coin. 

Daedalian Key 2: Defence Against The Dark Arts Tower

Fast travel to Defence Against The Dark Arts Tower Floo Flame in The Astronomy Wing, and from there, go downstairs towards the Rhinoceros Skeleton and you will find the key right next to it.

Daedalian Key 3: Potions Classroom

In The Library Annex, fast travel to Potions Classroom Floo Flame and enter the big door in front of you. Then take a left and go down the circular stairs to find the third Daedalian key and its cabinet. Open it in the same way to collect the third coin. 

Daedalian Key 4: Central Hall

Fast travel to Central Hall Floo Flame in The Library Annex and go downstairs; take a right from the fountain and go downstairs. Take a left to find the fourth key on the carpet, follow it to its cabinet, and unlock it. 

Daedalian Key 5: Central Hall

The next key you will also find in the Central Hall, but after fast traveling there, take the stairs on the left side and go above. Then take a right u-turn and go upstairs and take the next stairs as well. Go right from there, and you will find the Daedalian Key under the first stairs. Follow it to reach the cabinet and open it to collect the coin.

Daedalian Key 6: Library

Fast travel to the Library in The Library Annex and go on the right side and then take a left inside the bookshelves space, and you will find your sixth Daedalian key there. Follow it to find its cabinet and open it.

Daedalian Key 7: The Great Hall

Navigate to the Great Hall Floo Flame by fast traveling and turn behind and go outside through the door. Go inside the door which is just in front of you after you exit the hall and through the next door that you see in front of you as well. Take the stairs to go all the way down, and you will find your key next to the bench near the stairs on the right side. 

Daedalian Key 8: The Great Hall

Fast Travel to Great Hall Floo Flame again, take the right turn and go upstairs to find the eighth Daedalian key.

Daedalian Key 9: The Great Hall

Go outside The Great Hall by taking the door on the right side after fast traveling to its Floo Flame. Take the stairs on the right side and enter the big gate to find the next key.

Daedalian Key 10: Grand Staircase Tower

Fast travel to Grand Staircase Tower Floo Flame and take the right turn and take the stairs that just appeared and keep going down, and you will find your tenth Daedalian key on the way. 

Daedalian Key 11: Faculty Tower

Go to the Faculty Tower Floo Flame in The South Wing and run straight and then take the first right turn and go through the door. Take the stairs before you and go above to find your next key.

Daedalian Key 12: Faculty Tower

From where you got your 11th key, keep going upstairs until you see a statue holding a wand next to the stairs. From there, take a left turn, and you will find your 12th key in the hallway. 

Daedalian Key 13: Clock Tower Courtyard

Once you fast travel to Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flame in The South Wing, you will see two wooden doors in front of you. Go near the left one and use the Alohomora spell to open it. Keep going upstairs and take a left on the wooden rafters, and you will find your key.

Daedalian Key 14: Bell Tower Courtyard

Fast Travel to Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame in The Bell Tower Wing and take the stairs on your right side. On the first floor, you will see a door in front of you; go inside, take the stairs again, and go all the way up to the top floor. You will find the next key and its cabinet next to a moving painting.

Daedalian Key 15: The Map Chamber

Once you travel to The Map Chamber Floo Flame in Secret Rooms, turn behind and keep going upstairs until you reach the hall, take a left from there, and go upstairs again. You will find a door there, open it and enter it. Go downstairs and take a right turn to find your next Daedalian key. 

Daedalian Key 16: The Map Chamber

Now, go back to the stairs near the cabinet from where you took the right turn and enter the hallway in front of the stairs. Take a left, and you will see a giant dragon statue, and you will find your final Daedalian key near it. Follow it to its cabinet and open it.

Hogwarts Legacy: How to Open House Chest

Once you have found all the Daedalian keys and opened their cabinets, go to your house's Common Room to find the House Chest. Its location will get marked on your map, so it will not be difficult to find.

Go near the chest and place all the coins that you have collected on it one by one. Once done, the House Chest will open up, and you will get Relic House Uniform as a reward, which will be added to your collection.
