Genshin Impact Date's Challenge world quest: How to complete and rewards

Genshin Impact's Enkanomiya area is filled with mystery and intrigue as Travelers navigate their way throughout its ominous location. The area's supernatural presence may throw off Travelers during their journey; they will uncover a few secrets and learn more about the area's lore by completing several of its World Quests.

One World Quest will deviate from learning about the area's lore by placing them at the gate of a temple maze. Solving this maze will be tricky, so in this guide, we explain how they can unlock the Date's Challenge World Quest, how to solve the maze and what rewards to earn.

How to unlock Date's Challenge World Quest?

There are a few prerequisites Travelers will need to have met or completed to unlock the quest. As this quest is located in Enkanomiya, they would have unlocked the new area before starting "Date's Challenge".

• Reach Adventure Rank 30 or higher
• Completed the Archon Quest "Chapter II: Act III - Omnipresence Over Mortals"
• Completed the "From Dusk to Dawn in Byakuyakoku" World Quest

Before completing the quest, the quest-giver is beneath the temple maze in a locked room. Travel to the Teleport Waypoint west of the temple maze, either by glider or foot.

Locate a mechanism on a ledge that changes the phase from Evernight to Whitenight and vice versa. However, they must switch the phase to Whitenight before starting this quest.

Nearby, there are two Triangular Mechanisms they will need to interact with to align the maze walls in their correct position. Once completed, head back to the mechanism and toggle to switch the phase back to Evernight.

Travel back to the temple maze, enter through the gates before defeating Hydro Monuments using Hydro attacks. Defeating these bosses will open a hatch located in the centre of the maze which they can find a Luxurious Chest and the quest-giver, Date.

What are the rewards for completing Date's Challenge World Quest?

After completing the "Date's Challenge" World Quest, you will earn the following rewards:

• Adventure EXP ×200
• Primogems ×30
• Hero's Wit ×2

How to complete Date's Challenge World Quest?

Once Travelers have spoken to the quest-giver, they would have unlocked the World Quest, "Date's Challenge". This quest tasks them in completing the temple maze, The Serpent's Heart, locked behind a cube mechanism.

After speaking with Date, they should have acquired Date's Key before unlocking the World Quest. Additionally, there is a Quest item, Date's Medal of Recognition, in this area which they can collect.

Using the quest key, enter the maze and toggle with the mechanism to switch the phase from Evernight to Whitenight. In front of this mechanism, the south mechanism is against a wall that unlocks the southern gate.

Head to the Triangular Mechanism east in the room and attack it twice. Head back to the mechanism to close the gate.

Go to the northern side of the room and toggle with the mechanism to open the north gate. Find the other Triangular Mechanism and attack it twice before toggling the northern mechanism to close the gate.

Travel back to the first Triangular Mechanism and attack it once to activate the correct layout of the maze. Then switch the phase back to Evernight before opening another Luxurious Chest and acquiring the other Date's Medal of Recognition.

They will also earn the "Maybe Get Yourself a More Social Hobby..." Wonders of the World achievement upon completion of the World Quest. Go back to Date and speak with them to prove to complete the puzzles.

Locate Date's hidden room to find important treasure required for completing the next World Quest, "Collection of Dragons and Snakes". The treasure found inside an Exquisite Chest is the Hydrological Studies in Byakuyakoku Quest item, with a Key Sigil found in this hidden room.
